Dear Families, As we head into summer, we wanted to let you know how much we’ve appreciated your partnership this school year. Our students have been extraordinarily resilient, and we’re so proud of them. We enjoyed getting the chance to celebrate our Pre-K, Kindergarten and 5th grade students at the stepping up and graduation ceremonies over the past two weeks. Saying farewell to our 5th graders is always one of our most bittersweet moments, and we wish them well! Here are some final notes and reminders:
We are proud to share the hard work of our 4th and 5th Grade Newspaper Club editors. Thank you to Ms. Son and Ms. Elisabeth who worked with these students this Spring, and to our wonderful parent volunteers. You can read the 2022 digital version of the 29 Post here.
Students who were present today took home a printed copy of their report card and comments. You will notice that this printed report card does NOT include the final grades. You can view your child's final grades by logging into your NYCSA account on or after June 27th.
Students who are absent on June 27th will receive their comments via email and families can log in to NYCSA to view the report card.
Your children can keep engaged academically throughout the summer months by participating in our Reading, Math, and Science Challenges. You can find more information in our message here.
Please continue to keep us posted if anything should change with respect to your children returning to P.S. 29 in the fall. As you know, we will be creating class and teacher assignments towards the end of the summer, so it’s important that we have accurate information about enrollment.
For 5th Grade families, if you are not accepting your Public School offer (your child is going to a Charter or Private School, or you’re moving out of NYC), please let us know where your child will be attending Middle School.
We will miss your children so much over the summer, but we know that these months move quickly. We hope that you and your family enjoy one another and have some time to rest and rejoice over this well-deserved summer vacation.
With love, Rebecca, Olivia, and PS 29 Staff
