Arrival and Dismissal
Please read your grade-specific Arrival & Dismissal procedures for
carefully and also note the phase-in plan for each grade.
Please note:
The schoolyard will be closed outside of
school hours due to ongoing construction.
REGULAR ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL PROCEDURES & PHASE-IN PLANS:
Pre-K
Families will follow an arrival phase-in schedule for the first day of school, and will begin regular arrival and dismissal on Friday, September 11th.
Regular Arrival: 8:28 am, Henry Street front gated garden on the Kane Street side:

Pre-K 220: Students and families will line up outside of the gated area on Henry Street closer to the main entrance where there is a sign that indicates the class number.

Pre-K 204: Students and families will line up outside of the gated area on Henry Street closer to Kane Street where there is a sign that indicates the class number.

Once the classroom teachers arrive, they will invite students to enter the gated areas and direct them to line up inside of those gated areas. Families should remain outside of the gated areas.
Regular Dismissal: 2:45 pm, Front gated gardens.

Pre-K families will line up outside the gated garden toward Kane Street, in front of our school on Henry Street where they line up in the morning for arrival. Depending on your child’s assigned teacher and class, you will line up at the corner of the gate near the main entrance or at the entrance closer to Kane Street.
Phase-in for arrival on the first few days of school:
Thursday, September 10th: Your child's first day of school will be a full day.

Arrival: 8:28 AM - Pre-K families will enter through the gated garden near the main entrance on the Kane Street side. A sign with your classroom number will be posted to help you find the correct spot. Your child’s teacher will then escort you both to the classroom, where activity tables will be set up. Once your child feels comfortable, you are welcome to say goodbye and leave. Support staff will be available to help make this transition as smooth as possible for both you and your child. Please know that we are here to support you!

Dismissal: 2:45 PM - Pre-K families will line up outside the gated garden toward Kane Street, in front of our school on Henry Street. Depending on your child’s assigned teacher and class, you will line up either at the corner of the gate near the main entrance or at the entrance closer to Kane Street.
Friday, September 11th: Your child's second day of school will be a full day. We will begin our routine arrival and dismissal protocols.

Kindergarten
Families will follow a phase-in schedule for the first three days of school, and will begin regular arrival and dismissal on Tuesday, September 15th:
Regular Arrival: 8:30 am, Schoolyard (students enter yard on their own to meet their teachers at their line spots)
Regular Dismissal: 2:50 pm, Schoolyard
Phase-in for arrival on the first few days of school:
Thursday, September 10th: Your child's first day of school will be a full day.

Arrival: 8:45 AM (this is a delayed start from our regular Kindergarten 8:30 AM arrival time) - You will accompany your child to their class spot as indicated by signs in the schoolyard where you will be greeted by your child’s classroom teacher(s). Students will then be escorted into the building by their teacher(s). There will be support staff along the way to help make this transition as smooth as possible for you and your child. Please know that we are here to support you!

Dismissal: 2:50 PM - Families will enter the schoolyard to pick up their child from the class spots (gates open at 2:47 AM).

Monday, September 14th: Your child's third day of school will be a full day

Arrival: 8:45 AM - You will accompany your child to their class spot in the schoolyard. Students will then be escorted into the building by their teacher(s).

Dismissal: 2:50 PM - Families will enter the schoolyard to pick up their child from their class spots (gates open at 2:47 AM).
Tuesday, September 15th: We will begin our routine arrival and dismissal protocols.

Arrival: 8:30 AM (this is the regular arrival time) - You will say goodbye to your kindergartener at the gate and students will enter the schoolyard on their own to meet their teachers at their class spots. Students will then be escorted into the building by their teacher(s).

Dismissal: 2:50 PM - Families will enter the schoolyard to pick up their child from their class spots (gates open at 2:47 AM).
1st Grade

LATE PICK-UP PROTOCOLS

Students who have not been picked up will be escorted to the “Late Line” in the outer cafeteria on the Baltic Street side. Late pick-up begins at 2:55 PM

Families will have to enter the school building using the main entrance to pick up their children at this time.
