Arrival and Dismissal

Please Read Your Grade Specific Arrival and Dismissal Procedures carefully and note the phase-in procedures below.

Please note:

The school yard will be closed prior to morning arrival.

The yard will reopen to the public at 4:30 PM.

 

We will clear the yard immediately following dismissal to accommodate

our After School Kids Club Program. At 4:30, the school yard will resume as a

socially-distanced play space for our community.

REGULAR ARRIVAL/ DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:

See Phase-In procedures for the start of the school year below.

Pre-K

Arrival: 8:28 am, Front gated gardens (Pre-K 220, Baltic Street side; Pre-K 204, Kane Street side)

Dismissal: 2:45 pm, Front gated gardens

 

Kindergarten

Arrival: 8:30 am, Schoolyard (students enter yard on their own to meet their teachers at their line spots)

Dismissal: 2:50 pm, Schoolyard

 

1st Grade

Arrival: 8:27 am, Baltic Street side doors (students enter the school building on their own)

Dismissal: 2:50 pm, Schoolyard

 

2nd Grade

Arrival: 8:27 am, Kane Street side doors (students enter the school building on their own)

Dismissal: 2:50 pm, Schoolyard

 

3rd Grade

Arrival: 8:27 am, Schoolyard, Kane Street entry (students enter the building on their own)

Dismissal: 2:50 pm, Schoolyard

 

4th Grade

Arrival: 8:27 am, Schoolyard, Baltic Street entry (students enter the building on their own)

Dismissal: 2:50 pm, Schoolyard

 

5th Grade

Arrival: 8:27 am, Schoolyard (students enter the building on their own)

Dismissal: 2:50 pm, Schoolyard

LATE PICK-UP PROTOCOLS

  • Students who have not been picked up will be escorted to the “Late Line” in the outer cafeteria on the Baltic Street side. Late pick-up begins at 2:55 PM

  • Families will have to enter the school building using the main entrance to pick up their children at this time.

PHASE-IN ARRIVAL/ DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:

 

Pre-K

Thursday, September 7th

  • Family members will accompany each child to the outer cafeteria for activities set up for the class. Following the activity, family members will walk with the teacher and children upstairs and say goodbye at the classroom doors.

  • Dismissal at 11:45 am from the front gated gardens.

Friday, September 8th

  • Regular Arrival and Dismissal

Kindergarten

Thursday, September 7th: 8:35 am arrival (please do not enter the schoolyard before 8:35 am)
Please note that our 1st-5th grade students will be entering the schoolyard through the gates on Baltic and Kane Streets at 8:30 am. Please keep clear of the gates before 8:35 as they enter. We appreciate your help in keeping this process safe and orderly for students and families.

  • Family member(s) will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard. Kindergarten line spots will be along the back of the school building in the painted circles on the ground of the schoolyard. Please look out for signs with your child’s teacher name

  • Regular dismissal.

Friday, September 8th: 8:35 am arrival (please do not enter the schoolyard before 8:35 am)

  • Family member(s) will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard.

  • Regular dismissal.

Monday, September 11th: Regular 8:30 am arrival

  • Family member(s) will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard.

  • Regular dismissal.

Tuesday, September 12th:

  • Regular arrival and dismissal, with students entering the schoolyard on their own to meet their teachers at their line spots.

1st Grade

Thursday, September 7th

  • One family member will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard. 1st  grade line spots will be along the Baltic Street gates. Please look out for signs with your child’s teacher name

  • Regular dismissal.

Friday, September 8th

  • One family member will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard.

  • Regular dismissal.

Monday, September 11th

  • Students enter the schoolyard on their own to meet their teachers at their line spots.

  • Regular dismissal.

Tuesday, September 12th

  • Regular arrival and dismissal, with students entering the building on their own through the Baltic Street side doors. There will be school staff at each floor assisting students as they head to their classrooms.

2nd Grade

Thursday, September 7th

  • One family member will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard. 2nd grade line spots will be along the Kane Street gates. Please look out for signs with your child’s teacher name.

  • Regular dismissal.

Friday, September 8th

  • One family member will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard.

  • Regular dismissal.

Monday, September 11th

  • Students enter the schoolyard on their own to meet their teachers at their line spots.

  • Regular dismissal.

Tuesday, September 12th

  • Regular arrival and dismissal, with students entering the building on their own through the Kane Street side doors. There will be school staff at each floor assisting students as they head to their classrooms.

3rd Grade

Thursday, September 7th

  • One family member will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard. 3rd grade line spots will be along the benches opposite the school’s back wall near the line of trees. Please look out for signs with your child’s teacher name.

  • Regular dismissal.

Friday, September 8th

  • Regular arrival and dismissal, with students entering the building through the Kane Street side of the schoolyard.

4th Grade

Thursday, September 7th

  • One family member will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard. 4th grade line spots will be along the mural on the Kane Street side of the schoolyard. Please look out for signs with your child’s teacher name.

  • Regular dismissal.

Friday, September 8th

  • Regular arrival and dismissal, with students entering the building through the Baltic Street side of the schoolyard.

 

5th Grade

Thursday, September 7th

  • One family member will accompany each child to their line spots in the schoolyard. 5th grade line spots will be along the mural on the Baltic Street side of the schoolyard. Please look out for signs with your child’s teacher name.

  • Regular arrival and dismissal, with students entering the building through the schoolyard.
