What can be better on a hot summer day than visiting a cool library? Libraries are community centers.  Lots of reading lists by grade and age from the Brooklyn Public Library. Never get stuck wondering what your child should read, these lists have you covered.   Our Carroll Gardens Library has been serving the neighborhood for more than 100 years.  There are also classes and reading hours for the little ones, make sure to check out their events page.  There is a specific one for Kindergarteners on Saturdays (calling all incoming Kindergarten families!)

  • Multicultural Literature Booklists and Author Interviews

It is important for children to read and have access to books that reflect their experiences and the experiences of those in their classrooms and beyond.  Find booklists and author interviews here.
