Library @ 29
Students in grades 3-5 visit the school library media center regularly. The library media center is located on the 4th floor, in room 408. Susannah Sperry manages our collection of over 10,00 books as well as library circulation.
We are so lucky to have a rich and diverse collection of books, as well as a computer lab consisting of 30 iMacs, printers, iPads and two 3D printers purchased by our PTA last year! At times, our library media center also serves as a Maker Space for lower grade students and STEM Lab for upper grades.
Students in grades 3-5 have the opportunity to borrow books weekly during their regular Library + Media Literacy special. Students in lower grades may visit the library in cycles throughout the year, as an additional collaboration time. During this time, in addition to book borrowing, they also participate in STEM activities and learn some technology basics using our iPads and iMacs, to access fun, education websites and apps.
