Library @ 29
Students in grades 1-5 visit the school library media center regularly. The library media center is located on the 4th floor, in room 408. Susannah Sperry manages library circulation with the support of Amy Ramapuram, our current library assistant.
We are so lucky to have a growing collection of over 10,000 books, as well as a computer lab consisting of 30 iMacs, 3 printers, and a 24-iPad cart! Our library media center also serves as a growing Maker Space for first graders, and STEM Lab for fifth graders.
Students may borrow 2 books at a time during their library visits. They must return their previous titles before checking out new books.
Students in grades 3-5 have the opportunity to borrow books weekly during their regular Library + Media Literacy special. Students in grades 1 and 2 visit the library every other week, as an additional collaboration time. During this time, they also participate in STEM activities and learn some technology basics using our iPads, and occasionally desktop computers, to access fun, education websites and apps.
