Get ready for the most celebrated event of the year – the 2020 Gala + Auction on Friday, April 3rd, 2020 at 26 Bridge in Dumbo. This year we’re taking it easy...in the Big Easy! Escape to the soulful sounds of New Orleans in what promises to be an amazing night out with cocktails, food by Cloud Catering, live music, and dancing.

Early bird tickets are on sale now through February 14th. The venue has a limited capacity and we have sold out the past two years. Reserve early and tell your friends to do the same!
There are three ways you can help!
1. Donate or solicit donations for experiences, merchandise, or services:
Do you have a weekend home? Do you have access to backstage passes to an event? Are you a business owner that likes to support public education? Do you have a friend, neighbor, or relative who can donate a unique experience, a service, or tickets to an event? Do you have a special skill to teach? Check out this list of “60 Great Donation Ideas” for inspiration.
Donation items may be submitted online (preferred method). A hard copy will also be backpacked home and additional forms are available in the PTA office, Room 105.
2. Help us find business sponsors to underwrite the event:
Do you own or run a local business or have a friend who does? Sponsoring the PS29 Gala + Auction is a great way for local business owners to grow awareness while making a tax-deductible contribution.
Sponsorships opportunities are available from $500 to $3,000. Please email Chelsea or Constance at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

What is the theme?
This year we’re celebrating Big Easy style with NOLA vibes.
What is the dress code?
Party attire = wear what makes you feel good! Bring your dancing shoes and wallet!
Do kids attend the Auction?
No, this is an adults-only evening.
Are there a limited amount of tickets for sale?
Yes, the Fire Code regulates the maximum occupancy. Our venue allows 350 guests and we are almost sold out!
What happens at the event on April 3?
Eating, drinking and bidding begins at 7pm! Remember to check out the wonderful silent auction items and then tune-in for our live auction. The silent auction closes at 10:30 pm and check-out will immediately follow. Winners will take items home directly from the event. Online bidders will pick items up at PS29 post-Auction.
How do I bid?
Purchase tickets or register online.
A registration text and email will be sent to you. Click the link to browse the auction catalog.
Place your bid on a selected item, with the option of setting a maximum bid for a more worry-free event.
You will be notified by text if you have been outbid.
Check-out will happen at the event
What do the funds raised through the Auction pay for?
Funds raised help pay for enrichment programs (e.g., arts, music, drama, and science programs, chess, instrumental music, coding and sustainable gardening), capital improvements (e.g., water filtration system) and assistant teachers in Kindergarten classrooms — things that would be cut if we relied solely on funding from the DOE. Bidding generously in the Auction is a direct way for you to enrich your child’s school experience.
