The Annual Giving campaign is the PTA’s most important fundraising effort of the year. The PTA funds enrichment programs and school supplies as well as supports teaching assistants and professional development for our amazing teaching staff. This year the PTA will spend $900 per student. We need your help to raise that money. 

 

We recognize that each family has a unique economic situation and not everyone can give the same amount. No matter the size, your contribution matters and is deeply appreciated. We hope that you’ll help us meet the goal of 100% family participation because it is considered a barometer of community involvement. As you consider giving, please remember all of the ways your generosity contributes to making PS29 the special place that is. Because of funding from families, our children and school have access to:

 

• STEM and library supplies

• Kindergarten assistant teachers 

• 3rd & 4th grade in-school residencies with BAM (African dance & drumming), STREB (movement) and Dancing Classrooms (ballroom dance)

• Music supplies 

• Author visits 

• Seeds and tools for our beloved school garden 

• 5th grade play 

• Math enrichment coach

• Community events 

• 1st grade garden collaboration

• Drama supplies

• Maintenance for the upgraded water filtration system  

• Snowblowers for the schoolyard 

• Kindergarten yoga & mindfulness 

• Art supplies

• 2nd & 3rd grade chess program residency with Ready, Set, Chess

• Lice checks

• Health & Wellness programs (WITS Lab, Harvest Week) 

• Balls and basketball nets for the schoolyard

• Professional development for staff & teachers
