29 Post reporters celebrate the final issue of the year.

The new, summer issue of the 29 Post features a wide-ranging group interview with City Councilman Brad Lander, the definitive take on fidget spinners including a surprising report on why the toy’s inventor is broke, an interview with the owner of the neighborhood’s new independent bookstore, reported looks at the middle school process and segregation in Brooklyn public schools, accounts of the school’s dance enrichments, a three-part book review, comprehensive coverage of Kick Butts Day, a series of 5th graders’ favorite memories, some beautiful photographs of the 5th grade play, word searches, brain-teasers, the first-ever 29 Post Mad Libs, and much more.

All P.S. 29 families should have received this issue in your child’s backpack. You can also read and print the new issue of 29 Post here and pick up copies in the PTA office and at the 5th grade graduation.

This is the final work from the 2016-17 P.S. 29 Newspaper Club. This highly productive group has produced three print issues, four podcasts and 13 blog posts. Kudos to our extraordinary group of 4th and 5th grade student-reporters on a peerless year of student media!
