Children in the third, fourth and fifth grades will take the New York State English language arts (ELA) exam and the State math exam in the spring. In addition, fifth grade students take the State social studies exam, and fourth grade students take the State science exam.

While we know that assessments are only one window into student success, we will be administering a series of periodic student assessments over the course of the year designed to generate insight about students’ strengths and challenges.
